VMWare

So VMware Fusion 2 beta is out. Being utterly unable to run anything but the latest software, I installed the beta tonight. Seems to do well with Vista; a bit faster / smoother.

If you do install the beta, and find yourself upgrading the VMware tools, don't do it via the system tray icon. Rather, use the Virtual Machine -> Install VMware Tools menu directly in Fusion. It won't work otherwise. Also note that the beta drivers are not signed. You'll have to go through the absurd Vista exercise of clicking "Install Anyway" a dozen times.
