Profoundly stupid protester arrested while trying to bring Terri Schiavo a cup of water. What was the plan once you got in there, moron? I hope there is a particularly hot corner of hell reserved for people who make a circus out of another family's tragedy.

'Stupid' doesn't completely define this, although it's a start. Parsing this behavior closely, one has to consider terms such as 'arrogant' and 'self-righteous'. That's important, because the protesters consider themselves to be on a higher moral plane than most of us.
IMHO the thing to do in a case like this is to see that someone else (who one CAN help) is fed, clothed, and safe. But such actions don't make headlines glorifying the unfairly maligned protester, do they?
Having said that, the problem obviously is in the law. There must be many tortured souls in this woman's vicinty who are suffering along with her.
