I'm watching Trey Anastasio on Charlie Rose, talking about why Phish is breaking up. I'm a big Phish fan. I'm sorry to see them go, but I'm excited to see what they all do next.
The text of Al Gore's speech is worth a read. I'm guessing that this will be downplayed in U.S. media. This is a PR Newswire link, so it will expire at some point.

Does anything separate man from beast more than the food we eat?
The infinite variety of seasoning and preparation, the rapture of a first taste working around the mouth, carefully prepared complementary flavors. A good meal is a miraculous thing, capable of lifting the spirit. Fine food, like great art or music, this is civilization.

I'm looking for some good photo gallery software. By "good" I mean "creates galleries that look cool." The software should be able to create static photo galleries that I can put on a web server. Maybe some PHP would be OK, but other than that, static.
I'd be willing to pay for the software, as long as it runs on MacOS X. And, yes, I know Photoshop does galleries. They just look a little dull.

AIDS Walk was last weekend. Great fun, and a beautiful day. GMHC says that 45,000 people walked, but it sure seemed like more than that. It took 90 minutes to get out of Central Park alone. Very, very crowded.
I meant to post these earlier, but, you know, food poisoning and all.
