Some Thursday Randomness
Me stepping into the elevator...
Woman: HBO, huh?
Me: Yes. HBO.
Woman: You guys are too expensive.
Me walking down 42nd Street...
Homeless guy, looking me directly in the eyes: Starbucks!
Interviewing tip:
Say your resume lists your past employment chronologically, job 3, job 2, job 1, most recent first.
And, understandably, if you are a software developer, particularly a contractor, jobs can be somewhat similar. That makes sense.
But for the love of God, don't just copy / paste the same bullet points to all three jobs.

I just booked a flight. I'm taking Air France to Bologna, Italy on 11/17. Perhaps I will tour the Ducati factory and bring home something special.
I'm you will be in the area, do say hello.

Wahington Post: A state judge Monday sentenced former Tyco International executives L. Dennis Kozlowski and Mark H. Swartz to 8 1/3 to 25 years in prison. ordered Kozlowski to pay a $70 million fine and Swartz to pay a $35 million fine. [State Supreme Court Judge Michael Obus] ordered both men to pay a combined $134.4 million in restitution of illegal bonuses back to Tyco.
Given that Kozlowski known net worth is near half a billion dollars, and that he has surely hidden God knows how much of Tyco's money offshore, I don't think the sentence was terribly harsh. He'll be out of jail at 64 with hundreds of millions of dollars to his name.
How to start an interview off badly:
Me: Thanks for coming. Before I start asking you questions, are there any questions I can answer for you? Is there anything I can tell you about the company, the development environment, typical projects, tools, etc...?
Candidate: Yes. What do I have to know for this interview?
