President to agribusiness: go fuck yourself. I'm totally shocked. I did not expect this.

The iPod / iTunes combo made a playlist that really upped my giggy on the commute home. So pleasing, in fact, that I'd be willing to burn you a copy.

There are some restrictions, however:

  • This offer is limited to the first 10 respondents. I don't have all week to burn CDs for you people.
  • The playlist is rather up-tempo and contains some salty language. If that isn't your cup of tea, you can stick it in your ear.
  • You'll have to share your address with me, so you run the risk of a bit of stalking.

It is always the people with the biggest personal issues, the ones working the hardest to repress their own nature, who make a big deal out of things like gay marriage.

Photographer Matt O'Sullivan of The Narrative has been kicking ass lately. Scroll back over the last week or so to check out his work in Atlantic City. Really great.

I'm considering buying a Voigtlander Bessa R2A. Thoughts?

"I was scooping the snow from above me and packing it down below the window, and then I peed on it to melt it. It was hard and now my kidneys and liver hurt. But I'm glad the beer I took on holiday turned out to be useful and I managed to get out of there."

Now that Sun is opening some of its Solaris source, interesting info is coming out, like dtrace internals. Cool.

Bruce Schneier is looking at the federal Secure Flight program.

Ouch.

I am in the process of writing perhaps the most obnoxious memo I've ever authored. It is so overblown that even I cringe upon reading a few of the paragraphs.

Hello ,
I have a EJB 2.0 , J2EE ,JAVA and websphere job interview , can you please send me questions and answers?

THANKS

Someone doesn't seem to understand the premise of an interview.

Hillary Clinton collapsed while making a speech in Buffalo. She was treated on scene and did not go to a hospital. No further info at this time.

I've been getting tired of all the gunk on the sensor of my 10D. Both before and after images were shot with an 24-70L focused at infinity.

before
Dusty - Before

All those flecks visible in the photo are bits of dust stuck to the sensor. This evening I went to work on the sensor with a couple Sensor Brushes from Visble Dust. It took three tries to get most of the gunk out.

after
Not So Dusty - After

Not perfect, but really pretty good. Also used their Chamber Clean swabs to get some dust out of the camera body. There is only one spec of dust left under the focusing screen. I think I'll leave that one in there.

"The death camps were created by men with a high opinion of themselves — some of them well-educated and possessed of refined manners — but without conscience," he said. "And where there is no conscience, there is no tolerance toward others ... no defense against evil ... and no limit to the crimes that follow."

Eerie. Orwell rolls in his grave.

CNN: Meth is everywhere

Funny. If you walk around Chelsea in Manhattan, you'll see these super-targeted ads on the sides of telephone booths and bus stops. Buff guys telling us that meth is bad and whatnot.

I have never understood amphetamines. Why someone would take a drug that makes it harder to sleep, I don't get it.
