POTD

I had such plans for this week.

Then, buried in work, alas gang agley. Next week, next week, I'll get more done.

Call the government! Those babies are indecent!

Ha! I swear I didn't hack it:

I'm half-way through watching the WWDC keynote. The guitar app and the satellite simulator are both really cool. I'd like to get that satellite app.

Oh, thank God. Justice.

POTD

This week: pictures from the 4th.

If you must do things like this, for the love of God, spring for a bodysuit.

This is the second time this week I've received spam with the above illustration. Is this really a good way to get people to buy things?

Dave still seems to think that because someone else picked up the pieces after he turned off weblogs.com hosting everything is just fine.

A stammering, unfocused "audioblog" doesn't make it better, nor does it explain what happened.

He affected many people. At issue isn't what happened, but how it happened. All most people wanted was something along the lines of "I fucked up, and I'm sorry." Instead we got more rambling writing about glass balls, rubber balls, and lots of other lovely analogies. Some of us also got insulting personal e-mail, blaming us for making the situation a mess. Right.

How ironic that he is now complaining about LawMeme's "childish name calling."

Chris Hanson just pointed out Colloquy, a MacOS X IRC client that sucks far less than many of the others.

In addition to missing Apple posting the WWDC keynote, I didn't notice that Apple also posted a (Tiger-only) developer release of JDK 1.5. Can't wait to play!

Mike Clark just sent Pragmatic Project Automation to the printer. This is exactly the book I'm looking for. Can't wait to get it.

Apple has very quietly posted a streamed version of the WWDC keynote.

Happy birthday to my beloved country, The United States of America.

Check out Brent's list of cool American people and things.

Ooooh: Shiite-Christian

I'm a little disturbed by that term, but, at the same time, I like it.

Zoinks. I missed this when it was released:

Version 2.0 of Apple's RemoteDesktop software is VNC compatible. That is pretty cool.
